In esclusiva per Stylise Magazine siamo felici di proporvi la videointervista a Fernando Sosa. Maestro, coreografo, ballerino, cantante e attore; non ha bisogno di aggettivi visto che il solo nome è sinonimo di danza.
Uruguaiano di nascita, italiano di adozione, si trasferisce nel Bel Paese nel 1993, dove conosce il grande maestro cubano Alberto Valdes, grazie al quale si approccia al mondo del ballo.
Salsa, Hip Hop, Funky, Afro e altre discipline entrano a far parte del bagaglio del Maestro Sosa, che intraprende così il suo percorso di apprendimento, partecipando inoltre a importanti viaggi studio intensivi a Cuba.

Classe 1977 dimostra esattamente la metà dei suoi anni grazie ad uno stile di vita sano ed equilibrato che, insieme alle sue innate doti di motivatore, lo hanno reso, nel corso degli anni, nell’ambiente internazionale “salsero” un esempio e un ballerino dal quale non smettere mai di trarre ispirazione.

I messaggi che periodicamente diffonde, attraverso i suoi canali social, sono stati, soprattutto in questo anno di pandemia, fonte d’ispirazione per il suo nutrito pubblico e per tanti colleghi che hanno sofferto particolarmente, sia dal punto di vista artistico che economico, a causa delle norme di contenimento del coronavirus.
Dalla fondazione dei “Tropical Gem Dance Academy” all’istituzione della “Sosa Academy Dance School”
Nel 2000 fonda, insieme a Rafael Gonzalez, la compagnia di ballo che ben presto diventa una delle più famose nel panorama del ballo caraibico mondiale la: “Tropical Gem Dance Academy”. In questi oltre 20 anni di carriera la compagnia si è esibita in tutto il mondo, partecipando ai più importanti festival, congressi ed eventi.

Col passare del tempo la sua voglia di trasmettere quanto imparato cresce sempre più e nel 2008 intraprende la carriera accademica, fondando insieme al socio Tito Petronio, la scuola di ballo “Sosa Academy Dance School”, con sede sia a Milano che a Monza Brianza, che, ad oggi, offre agli allievi e ballerini l’opportunità di formarsi nel ballo caraibico e in molte altre discipline della danza.
Una carriera straordinaria nella quale ha collezionato numerosi successi internazionali
Innumerevoli i suoi successi, a partire da quelli ottenuti alla competizione mondiale di SalsaOpen dove, nel 2001, conquista il terzo posto a Puertorico e tre anni dopo si aggiudica il primo posto a Milano, affiancato dalla compagna di ballo Alyra Lennox.

È per ben tre volte vincitore della competizione mondiale “Ultimate Latin Dance Championship” di Las Vegas, a cui ha partecipato con tutto il suo gruppo nella categoria “Mega Crew” (16 elementi).
La sua carriera artistica prende letteralmente il volo quando, nel 2006, coreografa e balla nel video della canzone “Amor Imposible” di Milton Morales.
Nel 2007, insieme a Marco Berretta (Flamboyan Dancers), produce e coreografa il primo musical latino-americano ballato, recitato e cantato dal vivo: “Fantasia”.

Uruguayo de nacimiento, italiano de adopción, se trasladó al Bel Paese en 1993, donde conoció al gran maestro cubano Alberto Valdés, gracias a quien se acercó al mundo de la danza. Funky, Afro y otras disciplinas son parte del bagaje del Maestro Sosa, quien así emprende su camino de aprendizaje, participando también en importantes viajes de estudios intensivos a Cuba.
Nacido en 1977 demuestra la mitad de sus años; gracias a un estilo de vida saludable y equilibrado que, unido a sus dotes innatas como motivador, lo han convertido, a lo largo de los años, en el ámbito internacional “salsero” en un ejemplo y bailarín de que nunca dejan de inspirarse.

En 2000 fundó, junto a Rafael González, la compañía de danza. Pronto se convertirá en una de las más famosas del mundo de la danza caribeña: la “Tropical Gem Dance Academy”. En 20 años de carrera, la empresa se ha desempeñado en todo el mundo. Ha participado en importantes festivales, congresos y eventos. Con el tiempo, su deseo de transmitir lo aprendido crece cada vez más. En 2008 inicia su carrera académica, fundando junto a su socio Tito Petronio, la escuela de danza “Sosa Academy Dance School”, con sede tanto en Milán como en Monza Brianza. Hoy, ofrece a estudiantes y bailarines la oportunidad de formarse en danza caribeña y muchas otras disciplinas de danza.
Una gran carrera en la que ha acumulado numerosos éxitos internacionales
Muchos de sus éxitos. Como los que tuvieron en la competencia mundial SalsaOpen. Aquí, en 2001, ganó el tercer lugar en Puertorico y tres años después el primer lugar en Milán, con su compañera de baile Alyra Lennox. Es tres veces ganador de la competencia mundial “Ultimate Latin Dance Championship” en Las Vegas, en la cual participó con su grupo en la categoría “Mega Crew”.
Su carrera artística comenzó en 2006 cuando coreografió y bailó en el video de la canción “Amor Imposible” de Milton Morales. En 2007, junto a Marco Berretta (Flamboyan Dancers), produjo y coreografió el primer musical latinoamericano bailado, actuado y cantado en vivo: “Fantasía”.
